The Greater Cincinnati Commitment - Sign it! Live it!

ORIGIN: By its approval of the Greater Cincinnati Commitment on September 14, 2004, the Cincinnatus Association initiated a movement to eradicate prejudice and discrimination in the Greater Cincinnati region.  Today, the Greater Cincinnati Commitment Alliance is the result of this initiative.

THE COMMITMENT: The Greater Cincinnati Commitment Alliance is now reaching out to individuals and organizations to adopt "The Greater Cincinnati Commitment" and be part of the change to make our region a welcoming and inclusive model for the nation and the world.

The language of the Commitment was chosen to reflect the signer's affirmation or reaffirmation not only to disavow all forms of racism and prejudice on a personal level, but also to join with others in taking steps aimed at dismantling the the residue of past racism, discrimination and stereotypes of all kinds that persist in the Greater Cincinnati region to this day.

It is the hope that all justice-minded organizations, communities and individuals will sign the Commitment and embrace its principles in their daily lives.

THE INVITATION: We respectfully request your consideration and personal and/or organizational endorsement of this Commitment. By signing the Commitment you make a powerful personal statement in standing for a society that provides opportunity and justice to everyone.
